I was raised by parents who believed deeply in the power of history. They taught me that every story—whether joyful or painful—has value, and that by remembering, we grow. Years ago, I began restoring old furniture. There’s a kind of magic in it—watching the grain come alive beneath my hands, as if the piece is breathing again. Some pieces I’ve sold, others I’ve given away, but many have stayed with me. Some things are simply too full of soul to let go.

As time passed, my love for the past only grew stronger. From precious and semi-precious gemstones to vintage costume jewelry, from well-worn furniture to forgotten architecture, I’ve explored it all. I’ve spent over 40 years working with jewelry—studying stones, craftsmanship, and design—and I have completed extensive GIA studies in gemstones and jewelry evaluation. That education and experience guide every piece I curate for Glitters & Gizmos.

Old houses, creaking floorboards, vintage fabrics, the shimmer of a gemstone that has lived a life before us—they all speak. And this work has never felt like labor to me. It has always been love.
